What do feminist and gay/LGBTQ+ rights movements look like in Central America?

On June 20th, Members of The PSAC Greater Moncton Human Rights committee in partnership with the Moncton River of Pride and MAGMA (Multicultural Association of the Greater Moncton Area) hosted a presentation with Sandra Moran, the first self-proclaimed feminist and openly gay member of Congress to be elected in Guatemala.  While traveling with the Maritimes-Guatemala Breaking the Silence tour, Sandra shared her in-depth knowledge and political analysis of the current Guatemalan context with people from Moncton.

This was a true example of how PSAC members in partnership with other organizations can make a difference!

Thank you to all who made this possible!
