The CBRM Area Council once again laid a wreath on Davis Day in Cap Breton

Davis Day, also known as Miners’ Memorial Day is an annual day of remembrance observed on June 11 in coal mining communities in Nova ScotiaCanada, whereby citizens recognize all miners who were killed on the job in the province. It was named in remembrance of William Davis who was shot by police during a coal mining strike near New Waterford, NS.
