After concluding our collective agreement negotiations last August, the Employer has yet to fully implement the final agreement. We had our final level grievance hearing on May 9 on this issue.
To top things off, the Employer didn’t even issue a response to the hearing in a timely fashion. Under the collective agreement, the Employer has 30 days to issue a response to a policy grievance. This deadline, like the others, has come and gone.
The Union has exercised its right to push this to adjudication at the Public Service Labour Relations Board. We hope to be before the Board as quickly as possible to address the fact that the Employer continues to disrespect the timelines set out in our collective agreement.
