PSAC Members Ratify Tentative Agreement with The University of New Brunswick

FREDERICTON, NB – The University of New Brunswick, the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), and Local 60551 or the Professional, Technical, Staff Union (PTSU), are pleased to announce they have signed a first collective agreement for the PTSU bargaining unit. The PTSU bargaining unit includes over 370 employees on both campuses who provide a broad range of services to students, faculty and other staff.

This new agreement contains provisions relating to job security, orientation sessions for new employees, no discrimination or harassment clause, grievance procedure, vacation, hours of work, holidays, and leaves with or without pay (including domestic violence leave and sexual violence leave), pension, protective equipment as well as many other provisions. All parties are pleased to have reached a first collective agreement for the PTSU bargaining unit and look forward to continuing to work together.
