December 10th marks International Human Rights Day, commemorating the day in 1948 that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly. This declaration affirms everyone’s right to equality, and to life, liberty and security of the person.
The PSAC Halifax Area Human Rights Committee worked to create a wordcloud connecting how workers’ rights and human rights are one fight. All workers deserve access to a safe and equitable work environment free of barriers and discrimination. PSAC and the greater labour movement are dedicated to fighting until this is achieved.
