Parks Local 80016 in Ingonish has been quite busy during the month of December

On December 6th, members of the local worked hard to create a float that would go in the Christmas parade in their community. The theme of the float was based around our “Think Public” campaign.  Four of the members on the float were elves making toys, and another four were Santa’s helpers who wore t-shirts with the “Think Public” logo on the back.  The local distributed frisbees and bags of Think Public candy to the kids.  The float won third prize with the judges and was voted the viewer’s choice float.

Local 80016 also held its annual food drive in December for families in need in the area North of Smokey.  The local also adopted a family and provided them with Christmas gifts.
