Parks bargaining team prepares for negotiations in Ottawa

Members of PSAC’s Parks bargaining team met in Ottawa from July 22-24 to discuss key issues and finalize the package of demands in preparation for negotiations with the employer.

Also, on Tuesday July 22nd, PSAC issued the Notice to Bargain to the Parks Canada Agency.

The team is made up of: Daniel Britton, Kevin King, Michael LeBlanc, Jennifer Legue, Loretta Moar, Jack Norris and Daniel Toutant. Tom Milne is the PSAC negotiator and Janson LaBond is the Research Officer who will be working with the team.

These team members bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from their workplaces across the country and are ready to fight to protect and improve working conditions for Parks members.

“Canadians are speaking out about the drastic cuts to Parks Canada and the threat that this poses to Canada’s parks, historical sites and water ways,” said Marianne Hladun, PSAC’s Regional Executive Vice President for the Prairies. “When our members negotiate a fair collective agreement with Parks Canada, they help preserve nature for future generations.”
