Sister Maloney,

First and foremost, let us offer you our deepest condolences for the loss of Loretta Saunders.  We all mourn her tragic passing and vow to make things better for Native Women in Canada.

As you know, we have offered you and your organization our support since day one.  We organized a 50/50 draw at our International Women’s Day event that was held in Halifax on March 7th and with a contribution from my office, we are happy to enclose a check in the amount of $500 in order to assist the Saunders family.

If there’s anything else we can do to support the Saunders family and your organization, we are just one phone call away.

In solidarity,

Jeannie Baldwin
