On this special day, International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, the PSAC Western Newfoundland and Labrador Local Area Council is once again launching a fundraising campaign in honour of the day and also in memory of the many indigenous children discovered in unmarked graves on residential school grounds across Canada.
We have commissioned a local Indigenous artist, Pauline Gilley, to make pairs of decorative miniature mukluks that can be obtained through a minimum donation of $25. You may donate more if you wish.
These mukluks are beautifully crafted and will serve as a wonderful addition to your decor as well as a reminder of the Indigenous Peoples who live and love with us every day, and those who have gone before us.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to a local indigenous organization so that we can continue to support causes that help Indigenous Peoples.
The Google Form to request a pair of these mukluks can be found at the following link: https://forms.gle/5Pr5mHjMrHE3h9YD9
Please join us in celebrating this important day and contributing to a brighter future!
