Federal Government Employees Rally Asking the Government to Fix the Phoenix Pay System

ST. JOHN’S, NL – Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) employed by the Government of Canada will be boycotting National Public Service Week (NPSW) and asking the government to fix the Phoenix Pay System. The NPSW started Sunday and will run until the 17th.

The event marks the importance and contribution of federal public service employees, who are proud to provide the services Canadians depend on. Yet thousands are still having financial troubles because they are not being paid correctly or on time.

WHAT: Rally asking the Government of Canada to fix the Phoenix Pay System

WHEN: Thursday, June 15, at 12:00 PM

WHERE: In front of Seamus O’Regan’s office, MP for St. John’s South – Mount Pearl, 689 Topsail Road, St. John’s, NL

Speakers will include PSAC members affected by the Phoenix Pay System as well as Jeannie Baldwin, Regional Executive Vice-President of PSAC’s Atlantic Region.
