N.S. – Halifax Young Workers’ Committee Annual General Meeting

The Halifax Young Workers Committee is holding their Annual General Meeting at the PSAC Regional Office (172 Garland Avenue) on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 2 p.m.

All PSAC Members who are 35 years old or younger are invited to come.  The Halifax Young Workers Committee provides networking and comradery to other young workers in Nova Scotia.  The general meetings provide a place for young workers to discuss issues that are of importance to them and to plan strategies to address them.  In addition to their regular meetings this group meets socially and attends many local labour and social justice events across the province.

The final agenda will be sent out in January but will include the following, Report for the Chair, Treasurer Report, Year end financials, proposed budget, and elections. 

The following positions are up for elections at the AGM: Secretary, Treasurer and Communications Officer.  You can find out more information on what the duties of the positions are and the mandate of the committee by viewing the Committee By-Laws here.
