Congratulations to STUSAU on ratifying a new collective agreement!

PSAC local 60701, the St. Thomas University Support and Administration Union, have voted in favour of ratifying a new collective agreement with St. Thomas University on June 16.

“The work that PSAC Atlantic members do at St. Thomas University is of vital importance to the academic community in Fredericton and the Atlantic region,” said Chris Di Liberatore, Regional Executive Vice-President, PSAC Atlantic. “We are proud of the great efforts this outstanding bargaining team put into securing a fair deal with significant improvements for support and administration members at St. Thomas University. Their hard work at the bargaining table has paid off.”

The newly ratified contract makes several improvements to PSAC local 60701 members’ working conditions, wages, benefits and equity provisions. PSAC Support and Administration members at St. Thomas University provide student support and coordination, as well as administrative support to ensure the University continues to operate smoothly.

Under the newly ratified agreement, workers will receive economic increases of three per cent a year over three years. Some achievements in this round of negotiations were the increase in leave, improvements in the post-retirement benefit plan and improvements in the grievance process to ensure that members concerns are streamlined.

All members of the bargaining team went above and beyond to ensure that the union’s negotiations with the employer ran smoothly and are greatly appreciated for all their hard work.

The agreement expires June 30, 2025.
