Airport Union Willing to Get Back to Table, VOCM reports

The following text is from an article featured on the VOCM website:

The Public Service Alliance of Canada says it is willing to go back to the table at any time to resolve a labour dispute at St. John’s International Airport.  Yesterday the Airport Authority accused the union of not being willing to negotiate, and of making reckless statements.  Union spokesperson Chris Bussey says they’re willing to sit down with the Airport Authority at any time.

Bussey says they’re willing to go back to the table now, and have demonstrated their flexibility with the negotiator. But he says the Airport Authority has an aggressive agenda that includes changes to their contracting out language, changes to their pension and benefits plans and changes to their job security, which he says are fundamental issues for his members.

The workers have been without a contract since 2009.
