PSAC members rally for a national and public inquiry on missing and murdered Aboriginal women in Canada.

 

SAINT JOHN, NB – Over 300 Public Service Alliance of Canada members from the four Atlantic Provinces are currently in Saint John NB for their 6th triennial convention. Delegates will rally in front of Conservative MP Rodney Weston’s office demanding a national and public inquiry on missing and murdered Aboriginal women in Canada.

 

“The Harper government is ignoring the plea of many organizations representing Aboriginal women who are demanding a public inquiry on missing and murdered Aboriginal women in Canada” says Jeannie Baldwin, Regional Executive Vice-President, “On June 21st, national Aboriginal day, we will march to Conservative MP Rodney Weston’s office demanding for such an inquiry.”

The Convention will be addressed by spoken word artist El Jones prior to marching to Weston’s office.
