Public services

Public services are the tools we have collectively given ourselves to achieve our common ideal – an equitable, safe and prosperous society respectful of the environment where no one is left out.  Canadians rely on the public services we provide everyday, especially during difficult economic times.

The government's disengagement and its move to become more reliant on the private sector threaten the future of our public services. This directly undermines the quality of life of our citizens and shifts us away from our common ideal.

The Harper government is moving forward with $4 billion in cuts to public services.  Our jobs and the services that we provide are at risk. We need to fight back, uphold our rights and defend public services.
