 The PEI Human Rights Committee met September 15th with special guest, Jeannie Baldwin, Regional Executive Vice-President - Atlantic.  

Members across the Island received the latest Treasury Board bargaining update today advising of exploratory discussions between PSAC and Treasury Board with the objective of reaching early collective agreements.

UVAE National Vice-President, Debi Buell,  distributes the updates to Treasury Board Members outside her workplace.

PSAC members gathered with family, friends and the labour community to celebrate labour day in the sun. PSAC invited Derek James of the Wandering Brush Collective to paint faces, tie balloons and bring smiles.

65 delegates and guests gathered this past weekend in Gander for the 9th NL Triennial Regional Women’s Conference. The event brought together women activists from all overNewfoundland and Labrador and provided an opportunity to interact, discuss and take action on issues of importance.

Over the course of a summer where public services are even more threatened by the federal government, the Halifax office of PSAC was working hard to bring together its members and educate the public on the important work being done by the public sector.

The summer kicked off when the PSAC brought its Save Our Farms campaign to a garden fair hosted by Halifax MP Megan Leslie. Attendees were very supportive, and surprised to learn that such an amazing program was on the chopping block. Well over a hundred people signed the petition to save the prison farm program.
