  • Local Officers Training - This is an introductory course for any new officers or those who may be interested in the role of the local union officer. This will give Local Officers essential knowledge for upholding their Local responsibilities and building a strong union. Participants learn: how an effective Local functions; roles and responsibilities of the Local Executive; how Executives can work well as a team, how to engage members, and dealing effectively with management.

  • This course is an introduction to the Canada Labour Code, Part II. It will cover the internal responsibilities system, as well as the employer & employee responsibilities of this legislation. The course is for Health & Safety Committee members & members who are interested in knowing more about Health & Safety in federally regulated workplaces.

  • This course will be offered in bilingual format with simultaneous translation.

  • This course will provide new officers of a Local Executive an opportunity to understand their responsibilities as a Local Officer, and to know how and where to obtain support within the PSAC.

  • Talking Union Basics - This course is the first introduction to the PSAC for most members and continues to be the foundation for more advanced union education.
