Introduction to Canada Labour Code Part II

October     13-14, 2018

This course will provide participants with the tools and resources to effectively deal with workplace conflict.  Participants will identify the elements that make up a respectful workplace.  They will define harassment and bullying and the impact on the workplace and workers.  The legal framework, as it pertains to policies and process, that governs harassment in the workplace will be reviewed and preventive measures will be examined.  The participants will identify formal and informal recourse routes when dealing with workplace harassment and identify effective strategies for dealing with it.

The Atlantic School brings together union activists from the four Atlantic Provinces with a foundation in union education to advance their skills and leadership in strengthening the labour movement.
